It's a funny word, I know, but the "snood" is the technical term for the scarf-like accessory this guy is wearing on the Burberry F/W 2009 runway. The snood is the latest thing to hit your winter wardrobe. Although it may be a little soon to start thinking about the colder days around the corner, this is one item you want to keep in mind. I personally love the fact that, unlike a normal scarf, it does a full circle and doesn't leave pieces hanging out everywhere. It's easy and practical. The chunkiness of a cable knit snood has a homemade-but-chic appeal. Burberry sells their snood for a hot $325 (available here), but if you're feeling particularly crafty you might even try knitting one yourself! Start like you're knitting a regular scarf and join the ends.
