Let the force be with... HOLD UP, WHAT?

What in the name of fashion do we have here?! If you haven't been alerted of the latest sneaker collaboration by Adidas, then you're in for a treat. What may have been a seemingly great marketing plan appears to have missed the boat upon execution. Depicted above is the Yoda sneaker, in a collaboration between Adidas and Star Wars. Even the force couldn't save this one.

Really, who in their right mind thought crossing a moccasin with a mid-top sneaker was a good idea? Yoda would likely not approve of the lack of wisdom that went into this "creation". To see the results of the rest of the Star Wars cast footwear, click here.

Last but not least, where are Chewbacca's shoes? That's the only character who had the potential to reach the realm of Tom Ford. His version below:

Ok, it's official. George Lucas has gone off the deep end. He had to license these products for Adidas to produce them, so what the eff was he thinking?! He hasn't made enough bazillions on this franchise already? He has to further cheapen it with shoes that will soon end up at Goodwill stores and flea markets? That's all I can think because I can't see anyone actually buying these--certainly not any self-respecting Star Wars nerd. The ones with a picture of Han Solo on them are the worst. I bet Harrison Ford is kicking himself for having signed away his likeness to a looney like Lucas.

Speaking of Harrison Ford, Lucas still owes me money for that last joke of an Indiana Jones movie, too. But that's another blog post.

I like Stars Wars, but I think Mr. Lucas is running out of things to make Star Wars money from.
