Here's a great track to keep your summer party mood going on and on. I heard this song titled, "Evacuate the Dancefloor" by Cascada the other night at a club and I've had it stuck in my head ever since! It's definitely catchy, so take a listen and watch the music video above.

The Models Of Project Runway
On August 20th, Project Runway will air for the first time on Lifetime after its departure from Bravo. Looks like it's going to be just as good, if not better than ever! Lifetime was smart too and created a spin-off show, which will also be airing August 20th. Models of the Runway is all about the models, competing to wear the winning designer's clothes. Sounds like a drama-filled supplement for all Project Runway die-hard fans! Watch the preview for both Project Runway and Models of the Runway above.

Mama Knows How To Work
Gisele Bündchen may be pregnant, but that's no reason to stop this supermodel from bringing in the bank! Modeling for London Fog's latest campaign, Gisele underwent a little photoshopping to slim down her now-visible baby bump. Harper's Oscar Beauty
August is around the corner and that means it's time to start thinking about fall... fall fashion that is. The only thing to look forward to when the weather takes its nasty turn. Harper's Bazaar has put Kate Winslet on the cover of their August issue and the oscar winning actress looks stunning.Growing up, the actress thought of herself as neither a screen siren nor a great beauty. Now, with both an Oscar and a Lancôme contract, she reflects on what happens after you get what you want. The photo shoot was shot against a Manhattan backdrop on an overcast day. Very sophisticated, with a mature beauty about the aesthetic. Favorite image below:

The Art of Tanning
We're getting into the later half of July, but it's not too late to achieve that golden summer tan you dreamt of back in February. To get an even bronze color, make sure you take the proper precautions and build the tan up slowly. If you get too aggressive, the sun will get you back... and it will hurt. Not to mention you may develop skin cancer later in life.
That being said, make sure you've got some spf to block out the nasty UVA and UVB rays. It is a myth that sunscreen prevents you from tanning. The actual color comes from melatonin in your skin cells, which is activated by the light, not the heat. When you burn, it's actually the same as placing yourself on a stove!
Here are some of our picks for proper, safe tanning:
A personal favorite is Hawaiian Tropic's spf 8 Protective Tanning Lotion. It rubs on and dries, without leaving a greasy feeling and it has a great, tropicl smell. It has just enough spf to keep you from burning, but that may not be enough if you're travelling to a destination closer to the equator. This lotion also comes in at a very reasonable price of around $8 at most drugstores.

Hawaiian Tropic also makes a great tanning oil spray. It's more oily than the lotion and has less spf protection as well. However, it works a bit faster and it does give you an deep bronze tan that will make you the envy of everyone at the beach.

If you're going to be laying out in more intense sun, there's no need for tanning lotion or oil, so we suggest you skip over that and head straight for the sunSCREEN. A burn is painful and nobody like looking like a lobster! The Aveeno spray sunscreen is great and the spary bottle also makes it easy to apply.
The face is usually an area of concern and Aveeno also makes a great sunscreen that is sensative enough for the face and provides enough protection.

Another personal favorite for maximum UV protection is Neutrogena's Fresh Cooling Body Mist Spray. It really is cooling, feels refreshing out in the summer heat and sprays on evenly.

Add To Cart: Neon
The 80's are creeping back, for better and for worse. Some trends should be left in the former century, while others are looking pretty cool. I bought a neon t-shirt the other day and just love it. What better way to make a statement in the summer heat and show off your tan? American Apparel conveniently has a great neon highlighter collection out right now. However, I speak for the t-shirts and small accessories only. Poorly modeled above are the crewneck and v-neck styles that come in orange, yellow, green and pink. $25.00-$28.00. Don't worry, they really do look a lot better on!
*Neon pants are at your own fashion victim risk! I would stay clear if you have any sense of decency.

This has got to be the coolest toy EVER! Pleo is an interactive toy dinosaur, designed by the creator of the Furby. It's like a real life pet dinosaur!"Every Pleo is autonomous. Yes, each one begins life as a newly-hatched baby Camarasaurus, but that's where predictability ends and individuality begins. The Beach Is Coming!
Opened my email this morning to find this sneak peak of the inside of Hollister's new SoHo store, which opens tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be the biggest and nicest beach house ever! As repetative and juvenile the brand is, I have to admit that the company does a brilliant job at marketing. Watch the store opening promo video below:

G.I. to GQ

"He's 29. A part Native American son of a roofer who fell through a roof, broke his back, and ended up a traveling salesman, and of a mother who never doubted him. "If it wasn't for her literally doing my homework for me, I would not have even graduated high school. Guaranteed." Ten years ago, he was an unemployed college dropout. He had been good enough at football to land a partial scholarship to Wake Forest. But shortly before freshman year started, he got called with the bad news..."It definitely looks like a great profile on the actor, who's starring in the upcoming G.I. Joe movie. For the full story and more images from the shoot, click here. The GQ homepage is also featuring celebrity profile articles with Katy Perry and "Weeds" star Hunter Parish.

An "Epic" Store Opening
This morning while I was checking my emails, I came across this notification of "the epic Hollister store opening"in New York on July 16th. It's definitely going to be epic, considering the controversy around the take down of the DKNY "gateway" to SoHo. For the SoCal-at-heart city folk, you'll be able to get your beach style fix, starting this Thursday! It still confuses me as to why Abercombie & Fitch Co. decided to put their lowest priced brand into such a high traffic shopping strip as SoHo. Nonetheless, this Hollister flagship will be a 4 floor, 40,000 square foot surfer's paradise.Lastly, for anyone still nostalgic about the DKNY wall, here's a picture to get you through Monday morning:

Spin It: 'Silly Boy'
WOW, it doesn't get much better than this! It's not confirmed yet whether this incredible collaboration of Rihanna and Lady Gaga was recorded as a single, demo or part of one if their albums. However, the Timbaland produced track is definitely on par with both singers' always catchy styles. Listen to 'Silly Boy' below:[image via]

Holts + Modern Amusement Design Challenge

We have a winner!
A while back, Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfew held an open design challenge with Modern Amusement to design a t-shirt that will be incorporated into the LA brand's fall 09 collection. Adam Lupton from Vancouver, BC (represent!) won the challenge with the t-shirt depicted above.
Adam comments on his inspiration saying:
I drew the greatest inspiration from this passage: "distinguished by our [Modern Amusement's] attention to ironic detail, sophisticated ease, whimsical nature, graphic energy and sense of humor."
It's great to see fashion companies engaging with their customers! Having a fresh take on design is always refreshing.

WhatTheFashion: REPEAT!
Well, when I was perusing through some celebrity photos, I came across one that seemed oddly familiar...that is when I screamed. WHO WEARS A WHITE COTTON ONSIE MORE THAN ONCE! ESPECIALLY ONE THAT NEEDS TO BE HEMMED THAT BADLY. Lady Victoria Hervey you are on my fashion's most wanted list. I am sure Diddy wouldn’t be too thrilled by this outfit repeat at his White Party! Can we also just have a moment with how dirty the bottom of these “pants” are! Oh wait maybe they should be hemmed! There is a thought!
You’re crazy bracelets and over tanned body don’t fool these eyes. Lady Victoria Hervey get a new outfit one that consist of two separate pieces or more.

Spin it: Madonna ft. Lil Wayne??
Revolver by “Madonna” and Lil Wayne is a song that everyone is confused about. Who knows if this is a real collaboration or even if it’s a track or just a demo? It’s catchy as sin and that’s all I care about. It’s perfect for a night out at the bar or dancing around your house in your underwear. If you can find download it and throw it on your iPod. The Luxury Of Online Shopping

The online shopping phenomenon has really been booming lately, but while it's convenient, online shopping lacks a lot of the services that often come with shopping in store. It was only time before that problem was solved, which brings us to 25Park, an online luxury boutique that carries great brands like Elizabeth & James, Mike & Chris, Eryn Brinie, Kain, Antik Batik, Marchesa and Michael Kors.
Service is what separates 25Park from your average online shopping destination. VIP Services make every customer feel like a celebrity, from VIP Dressing (where 25Park will come to you) to VIP Rewards (where you earn store credit after purchasing a certain amount). There's even the option of having a Personal Shopping Assistant, which is a pretty cool feature for shopping online!
We could go on, but it's probably better that you see for yourself at www.25park.com. They've got some great looks already put together in a magazine lookbook too, so if you're not in your most creative mood you might like to check that out too!

WHERE HAVE ALL THE SHIRTS GONE?!

What, did I wake up this morning and the shirt is no longer? First Rihanna and now Adrien Brody! A cardigan isn’t a shirt either! Yes your man muscles are firm and nice but still what were you thinking?! Even when you pair your cardigan with a red bandana it’s still not a working!! Plus, what the h are you wearing a bandana like that for!
I also want to cut your hair and while I am at it I am going to shave your patchy, wispy beard. This is just such a lame attempt at hipster chic. Someone get me a drink because this is going to be a long day!

WhatTheFashion: Taking the Nipple Slip to a Whole New Level
Yes I know in North America we are deemed as “prude” and every girl wears a bikini top and it's all crazy when we don’t, but seriously what's going on here. Rihanna you’re not at the beach. Yes, what you've got is hot, but really? Pasties?
The jacket she is wearing is very 'in' right now and definitely a piece that is a must have. If you read this website often you should know this already. Flashing back to a very early on shoulder pad post, Rihanna has gone that way and it looks good. Alas a jacket is not a shirt and pasties are not a top. Honestly this tragic pairing has now made me afraid to go to the bar in fear of seeing a copy cat.
Her earrings are tacky as sin and yet again she is rocking the ultra long ghetto fab nails which make me cringe. For a “fashion icon” this look is not doing anything for me.
Rihanna you're over exposed whoppty dang do.

Sex Sells
David and Victoria Beckham's Emporio Armani ad campaign has finally surfaced and they look hot! Victoria's hair is out of this world. Still on the fence about how I feel about it, but I suppose the braid "ties" in well with the rope.
