WhatTheFashion: Homeless? Oh no sorry just ugly!

Way back in April we hit you with a trend report on distressed denim and how it was a hot look for the spring. Well it has stuck and is now taking us right on into fall. I am all for it but Miss Audrina Patridge has crossed the line!

Look lady when you are showing more skin than jean you have taken it too far! At this point really why are you even wearing pants? I am also not a fan of clunky boots in the middle of summer! Who knows maybe those jeans were so distressed they no longer had bottoms and with fast thinking Audrina was like "YES I've got it!" and threw on these boots. Umm still ugly, please try again!

Another thing I really don't understand about this girl is how she always manages to wear a see-thru shirt! I guess when you spend a good chunk of cash on those melons in your bra you want to show them off. Honey lets try leaving a little something to the imagination! Maybe invest in some better quality fabric shirts.

Well you all know that I am a HUGE lover of Etsy.com. I have found a shop that you must check out!

Stud's are big this fall on everything from clothing, shoes, to accessories. De Lacy has done a great hand made leather bag that I think it awesome. Also take a peak at some of the chain strapped leather clutches you wont be disappointed!

Using a partner of the opposite sex lick their neck to moisten. Pour the packet of sugar onto their neck. Place wedge of lemon in their mouth with the skin pointed inward. I am sure you can see where we are going with this! Lick the sugar first from their necks, shoot the vodka, then get your self some of that lemon!

WhatTheFashion: A Solution!

Oh Look! Paris Hilton has finally found a solution for her sore knee's! Padded tights! Perfect! Won't Doug Reinhardt just be over joyed! I am sure Lindsay Lohan will be putting in an order for these babies if she doesn't already own three pairs.

Padded tights, perfect for those long romantic nights!

WhatTheFashion!: Ooo Shiny!

OOooOOoh heck yes I am going to comment on this! I am not going to say much though because I have faith in the readers! Katy Perry, sequined fruit is a bad combo for any outfit.

Seriously honey, I dare you to wear that around a flock of hungry seagulls and see what happens!

Becki On Beauty

Becki Newton, the razor-tongued, uber-trendy receptionist at the fictional Mode magazine on ABC’s Ugly Betty is discovering that the life of a shallow bombshell has its perks.

In the September issue of Redbook, she tries on the season’s most glamorous make-up looks and shares her views on beauty:

On real beauty: “When I think of the most beautiful women, they’re not supermodels. My mother is 53 and comfortable in her own skin. My mom doesn’t spend hours in front of the mirror or at the gym. She doesn’t deprive herself of anything. It’s ultimate beauty when the inside and the outside match up.”

On playing Amanda: “I’ve learned there’s nothing wrong with being a little fussy. I used to pride myself on being low-maintenance—I wore it like a badge of honor. I would leave the set with my hair all big and full after the show and feel like I had to immediately throw it up in a ponytail. Now I think jeans, a tee and big hair are a great combination. Glamour is fun! Spending time to get ready isn’t about being fussy: it’s about taking care of myself.”

On beauty trends: “It’s better to try and fail than not to have fun with it.”

Redbook also has Amanda showcasing some fierce fall makeup trends, including plum lips and blue smoky eyes. The combination of the analagous colors makes for a sophisticated-cool look. The blue shadow gives the eyes a little more of a boost than a straight charcoal and also ties in with the coolness of the deep plum lip.

Inside The Life Of Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford can still rock the runway at 43, but this world-class beauty/entrepreneur knows that aging gracefully as a Supermodel isn't as easy as it seems. Crawford, who is launching her JCPenney home collection next month, graces the September cover of REDBOOK and inside, poses for some intimate photos with husband Rande Gerber at their Malibu, CA home (photo below). In the interview, she opens up about cellulite, the pressure of being an aging Supermodel, and what she does on date nights with Rande .

On being Cindy Crawford: "People get excited that they're meeting the Cindy Crawford from the Playboy spread 13 years ago, and I am a mother of two now. I have to check in with myself. It's good to have an awareness of the outside pressure; I can't let it get to my core. I love my life."

The issue hits stands August 25th, but in the meantime click here for more photos and info on the story! Behind the scenes video of the shoot below.

On The Street: All Grown Up

Looks like Dakota Fanning is enjoying her time in Vancouver. On a break from filming Eclipse, the now young-lady took stroll and enjoyed the beautiful summer weather the city has to offer. We have to say, she's definitely matured from her child-star days and has acquired a quite a personal style. Loving this tonal outfit and there's nothing more casually classic than a great white t-shirt. That grey jacket is super cute over top too! This ensemble would be THAT much better in a pair of heels, maybe these from Urban Outfitters:

The Review: GI Joe

When I first saw the trailer for GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, I was honestly rather disinterested. Then after viewing the commercial a few more times, my mind was changed and I was convinced I wanted to see it!

The movie was action packed from start to finish with lots of special effects and of course a boat load of fancy weapons. You may be unimpressed by the lack of quality in the dialogue, but I have to remind you: this is GI Joe you're watching! If you're at all familiar with the Hasbro toy, you'll know that it's really not at all based around intellect.

Now how did GI Joe make it onto Socialites Anonymous? Well, for starters they cast supermodel Karolina Kurkova and ex-models-turned-actors Channing Tatum and Sienna Miller. Can the cast get any hotter? Secondly, the fashion in the movie was fantastic! Props to the costume director. Accelorator suits aside, Sienna Miller had some badass Rodarte-esque ensembles and Byung-hun Lee (ninja in white) had some very S/S 09 Salvatore Ferragamo looking outfits.

If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out. Trailer below just for the sake of it:

Spin It: Fireflies

This is the perfect late summer tune! "Fireflies" by Owl City has a bit of electro-pop sound going on with an indie rock chorus. Great song for blasting with the top down under the night sky (of course, while the weather's still warm!). Listen above, hope you like it!

Muppet's Bazaar

Fashion Safari

If you haven't noticed yet, we've been super excited about Harper's Bazaar lately. The mag is doing a fantastic job at keeping things fresh with content the fashion world wants to see. When we thought it couldn't be better, we discovered this editorial from the September issue, featuring supermodel Naomi Campell!

From racing with cheetahs to skip roping with monkeys, Naomi channels the beauty and elegance of legendary models: Veruscka and Dovima, in this serengeti shoot. The adventure titled, "Wild Things" was captured by French photographer Jean Paul Goude. For more photos from the shoot, click here.

Fashion Forward: September Issues

September is just around the corner and you know what that means: September issues! The cover choices for next month look like they were made to sell. It's a good thing, or who knows where the publication industry would be headed?

The best choice for a fall fashion cover: Leighton Meester on Harper's Bazaar, so props to its editors for being right on time with celebrity stardom and using it to their full advantage. That's one story we can't wait to read! There's also Tom Brady's side of his relationship with supermodel Gisele Bundchen, in Details, which seems promisingly enviable. Of course, there's also Vanity Fair's notable cover choices featuring the late Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett.

No fashion supermodels gracing any coveted covers next month, but all of the issues look so worth buying, even at newsstand prices.

Attention Shoppers: Dolce Is Here!

A New "Standard" In Vending

There's nothing like the innovation of collaboration. Quiksilver is teaming up with The Standard Hotel in it's induction of a swimsuit vending machine! The machines will be setup poolside at the four locations of The Standard Hotel.
Joshua Katz, director of marketing and communications at Quiksilver Inc., explains, “This is a 24-hour customer, and a lot of times they might not have a swimsuit but want to take a late-night swim, after the hotel’s boutique is closed.”
Each swimsuit will also feature a "Quik City Guide" on the inside of the waistband, featuring local points of interest. How's that for cool?

The vending machines will be stocked with four retro men's designs and a black string bikini for women. The boardshorts are going for $75 each and come in a waterproof travel bag.
