H&M has released lookbook images from one of its spring 2010 collections, titled The Garden Collection. Playing on the floral theme, H&M has chosen to make all of the pieces in The Garden Collection via sustainable methods and using organic or recycled materials. Some of the sustainable materials include: organic cotton, organic linen and recycled polyester (made from PET-bottles or textile waste). It's great to see a company like H&M recognize the need for more sustainable practices in the fast fashion market.
The collection features lots of neutral colors, which of course wins points with us. There are also a lot of bold floral prints and retro silhouettes that provide a fresh take on 1970's hippie chic revival.
