Fashion Forward: Christian Siriano F/W 2010

Minutes before the Christian Siriano show, the lobby of the Bryant Park tents was crammed with guests, a scene that has become a common replay for the Project Runway alumnus. Slowly but surely, editors and bloggers were seated, and the show began. It was high drama right from the start, with dim blue lighting and a light fog drifting down the runway.

The look was a 1960s Euro glam—very Parisian chic. Clean lines gave an appearance of a smooth, touchable softness and fabrics were predominantly metallic sequins and silky satins. Keeping with signature Siriano style, smooth, voluptuous ruffles entered the scene in dark, jewel tones, followed by sheer flowing gowns.
